Indications and contraindications of anti-cellulite massage

Cellulite (“orange peel”) is a fatty deposit in the subcutaneous tissue of a person. Most often such formations are concentrated on the abdomen, buttocks and thighs. These are clear signs of accumulation of excess fluid and toxins. Over time, the body finds it increasingly difficult to cope with the elimination of substances from the body. This is the root cause of the formation of cellulite or “orange peel”.

With the help of anti-cellulite massage you can improve blood circulation, get rid of the “orange peel”, remove excess fluid and toxins from the body. This procedure has its indications and contraindications. Before signing up for a session of anti-cellulite massage, please study them carefully.

Contraindications

During the massage, the problem areas are subjected to intense physical impact. Therefore, the procedure has a number of restrictions and we recommend that you carefully familiarise yourself with them.
Anti-cellulite body massage is contraindicated for people with:

  • Infectious diseases. The procedure leads to a slight increase in temperature, which can give an undesirable load on the heart.
  • Skin diseases. Skin rashes of an allergic or purulent nature. Physical exertion traumatises the skin and can spread the rash to “clean” areas of skin.
  • Blood diseases. Diseases that are accompanied by poor blood clotting, decreased elasticity and thinning of the vascular walls. These include atherosclerosis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins. Anti-cellulite massage stimulates an active rush of blood to the treated area, which gives an additional load on the vessels.
  • Pregnancy. In this case, massage can be dangerous to both mother and foetus.
  • Breastfeeding. Anti-cellulite massage is contraindicated for nursing mothers. The procedure can slow down or suspend lactation.
  • Mental illness. Stimulation of bioactive points of the body can cause an unpredictable reaction in a mentally unhealthy person.

How to get the maximum effect

Before the procedure, we recommend that you gently cleanse your skin with a scrub and take a shower. This will allow the masseur to work with a renewed layer of skin.
To enhance the effect of the massage, try to follow simple daily rules.

  • Healthy timely sleep.
  • Light exercise in the morning.
  • Vitamin-rich and balanced meal.
  • Refusal of bad habits.
  • Evening warm-up in combination with anti-cellulite means.

Never forget about precautions. Do not overdo it – getting rid of the “orange peel” is a daily work on yourself.
